I love how everybody knows when something is fake. I don't know if this or anything else is fake but I doubt this is. I had a similar conflict with a douchebagt neighbor myxelf who was fixated on a BBQ i put in MY backyard. He want it removed, I said wtf and he was after me for months on it. He was like a stalker, he sent me messages and such. I called a lawyer who wrote him a letter to stop. That stopped him, at least so far. This is a riot and I can relate so I say great

Are you talking about the second email in the list? He is simply listing all of the ugly stuff that the crazy man and Kathy should be worried about more than his chairs. That doesn't mean he is describing it to make the "fake" more understandable.

I have a friend who is currently dealing with "reasonable" and "unreasonable" neighbors. The "reasonable" neighbor wants her to stop walking from the front yard to the back yard between her house and theirs because she may glance in their open windows. Though she has never done that, her ex husband from 10 years ago used to, so they think their request is reasonable. They tried to stop her putting stairs on that side of her new back deck so she wouldn't be encouraged to walk up that side of her house. The neighbors on the other side are worse. Therefore this story seems plausible to me. People are nuts.

However, real or not, it's funny shit.

Their neighbor seems crazy in the head. I can't wait to see what happens. How can that guy actually think he has the authority as "a neighbor" to tell people what they can and can't have on their own property. That's why they call it property. Because it belongs to me not you. I hope John locks the doors and windows every night, and sleeps with a shotgun under the bed, because I think Paul might be a little unstable.

It sounds more like Paul moved there from a neighborhood that had a HOA. We had one of 'those' move in on our street a while back and she started up some crap almost immediately. Nevermind that we lived on a dirt road in the middle of the woods. Eventually even the sheriff got fed up with her and chased her out of town.

This exchanges kind of reminds me of my neighbor. I'm sure she's beginning to believe that I'm that crazy neighbor.

Here's the rundown... It's been no less than 6 times that I've asked my neighbor to stop cutting my lawn (scalping really, I live in central Texas and short grass will turn brown in a heartbeat). It wouldn't be bad if the person she has cutting her lawn would at least stay somewhere near the property line. This guy will cut into my front lawn. HALF of my front lawn actually. The problem goes away after I talk to her but after a while the guy slowly drifts back into my lawn like he somehow thinks our lots are on fast moving tectonic plates. Every talk I've had with her starts with her saying that she "just feels so bad for the guy", "I think he's slow", and "he really needs the money." The last talk I had went no where quick when she started saying that she doesn't know what the problem is since my air conditioner is "really on her property, I think." This was after she remarked that "I really don't know where our property lines are." Silly me, I would think you would know where the boundaries of your $130k investment were.

What would you do in my shoes? I'm by no means a stickler about property lines. I just want the guy to stop cutting over half of my front yard. Hell, I wouldn't even mind it if he didn't cut it so damn short.

Unreasonable: Go to city hall and find the deed to your land and find the property lines. A friend of mine had the same issue with a neighbor but with a trampoline on his land. Go out and use a can of spray paint or string on stakes and mark your property line. If they continue to go over it, threaten a lawsuit because they are trespassing.

I live in a suburb. Yes, I have email addresses of three of my neighbors. I also had a crazy neighbor who was probably Paul's sister. She would walk onto people's porches and look in their windows and then criticize their carpet or decorating. She would try to tell people what they could or could not do on their own property (we have no HOA). Then she tried organizing a block party. Nobody showed up. She put her house on the market a week later and moved away. :-D
