One Way To Keep The Rowdy Neighbors In Check

Nothing better to quiet rambunctious, annoying neighbors than threatening them with falling objects from above. (And we don't mean meteors.) This sign was spotted on the door of a cafe & apartment building in Rome...apparently meant to be a gentle reminder to those on the street to respect the quiet (and sensitive ears) of those who live in the apartments above.

The literal transation: "We kindly ask customers to lower their voices outside the shop so as not to disturb the sleeping tenants and to avoid falling masses from above. We hope for everyone's agreement. Thank you. The management"

The commonly understood translation (in Rome/Italy vernacular, as explained to us): If you get too loud the neighbors upstairs are going to start throwing s**t at you. So chill...and shut the f*** up. Have a nice day.
