David has published over 350 cartoons in The New Yorker since 1998. David's cartoons have been a weekly feature in The Boston Phoenix for more than 30 years. His work has appeared in Time, Playboy, Shambala, Men's Health, Gastronomica, Reader's Digest, Utne, The Washington Post, and many other publications. David is the author of 8 books of cartoons. His editorial illustrations have appeared in numerous magazines and newspapers. He has illustrated several books, including, most recently, The Little Stuff Matters Most, by Bernie Brillstein, and Your Cat's Just Not That Into You, by Richard Smith. David is the writer, producer and host of Conversations with Cartoonists, a series of performances featuring cartoon-based humor, and interviews with the great New Yorker cartoonists, staged at Dixon Place Theater, and at the 92nd Street Y, in NYC. A graduate of Williams College, David lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Ginny Shubert, a public interest lawyer.
